We offer full service pet grooming - for both dogs and cats. Price is determined by the size and weight of the animal and the type and condition of their coat. Pet Grooming is available seven days a week, 8am-6pm.
Grooming your pet involves several steps. We estimate that our five-step process takes about four hours per pet.
Step 1
Every pet visiting us for grooming receives a check out by one of our vet assistants that will then alert the veterinarian to any concerns observed on your pet. It is the responsibility of our doctors and assistants to make recommendations to assist you in keeping your pet healthy. They can also answer any questions you may have regarding your pet. If you have your own veterinarian, you can let them know any concerns that were brought to your attention. In order to groom your pet, we must be sure that all pets are current on vaccinations. If we don't have a history of vaccines for your pet, we will update them before grooming.
Step 2
Pets are checked over for mats and excess hair. This is when we do initial clipping, dematting, and detangling. This ensures that shampooing is done thoroughly.
Step 3
Bathing is done with a shampoo appropriate for your pet. We offer hypoallergenic shampoo for pets with sensitive skin. While in the bathtub your pet's anal glands are expressed, and ears are cleaned. After a thorough rinsing, we use conditioner to leave coats silky and soft, and rinse one last time.
Step 4
Now that your pet is clean, he/she will be dried and thoroughly brushed. This removes undercoat, and prepares them for their finishing.
Step 5
Most body finishing is done with clippers; and legs, head, tail, and ears are hand scissored. Finally, toenails are clipped and feet are trimmed.
Between steps, pets are returned to their kennels for breaks, this ensures that grooming is a pleasant experience, and a return trip will be something to look forward to. We do our best to keep the area calm so grooming is as easy as possible on your pet.
Ask us about our extra services that we offer with grooming, they include:
FURminator SHED-LESS Treatment
Improve the appearance of your pet and your environment with the FURminator shed-less treatment....... a special anti-shedding treatment that dramatically reduces the mess and clean up of unwanted pet hair. To find out more information visit www.FURminator.com.
Hot Oil Treatments
A hot oil treatment is a three step process that helps condition dry skin and dull hair coats, so your pet leaves with a shiny, soft coat.
Advantage, Frontline and Capstar Treatments
We do not use flea dips. Instead we treat your pets with the best flea preventatives. Capstar is a tablet that is given to your pet before the bath that will kill all fleas on your pet in a half hour and will last 24 hours. We offer flea treatments to prevent any future flea problems. You can choose either Advantage, which kills fleas for 1 month, or Frontline, which kills both fleas and ticks for one month.
Medicated Baths
During your pet's exam, our staff can recommend a medicated shampoo that is right for your pet. We offer special shampoos for pets with sensitive, oily, and dry skin.
Maintenance and Referral Programs
When your pet is on our maintenance program we take $5.00 off of your regular grooming price when you schedule your pet's next appointment one month in advance. |
